Stratum is an early-access drafting tool for architects, built and operated by a team based in Boston, Massachusetts. You can reach us at hello@stratum.boston for any question about this policy or your account. The legal entity operating the service is being finalised; this page will name it as soon as that is settled.

When you sign up, we collect the email address and the name associated with your Clerk account. When you use the app, we store the project data you create — canvases, sketches, parcel imports, imported PDFs and images — in our database and file storage. We also keep server logs of API requests for debugging and abuse prevention.

Stratum does not sell personal information to anyone, and does not run advertising on the service.

Stratum uses the following services to run. Each one receives only the data it needs to do its job:

• Clerk — handles sign-in, sign-up, and session management. Clerk stores your account identity.
• Supabase — hosts the Postgres database and the file storage bucket where your canvases, parcel imports, and uploaded files are kept.
• Vercel — hosts the application servers and serves the website to your browser.
• Google (Static Maps and Street View) — when a project displays aerial or street-level imagery for a parcel, Stratum passes the parcel coordinates to Google and relays the resulting image.
• Microsoft (Graph and Azure Cognitive Services) — Microsoft Graph is used by any OneDrive-linked file placed on a canvas before October 2026; Azure Cognitive Services is used for optical character recognition on canvas rectangles when you request it. Image content you ask us to OCR is sent to Azure for the recognition call.
• Anthropic — the AI test-fit feature, available only to specific allow-listed accounts during early access, sends the project brief and parcel geometry to Anthropic to generate layout suggestions. If your account is not on the allow list, no data goes to Anthropic.

Stratum is free during early access. There is no checkout; paid plans are activated manually after you email hello@stratum.boston. We do not store credit card numbers; if we add a payment processor later, we will update this page before anyone is charged.

Email hello@stratum.boston from the address on your account and we will delete the account and the project data associated with it. We may keep a short summary (for example, "account deleted on this date") for operational records.

The service is provided as-is during early access. Features change, bugs exist, and we may suspend or disable accounts that are being used in a way that endangers the service or other users. If we need to do that, we will tell you why.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.

If this page changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, email account holders.
