Terms of service

Who we are

Stratum is an early-access drafting tool for architects, built and operated by a team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The legal entity operating the service is being finalised; this page will name it as soon as that is settled. You can reach us at hello@stratum.boston.

Your account

You sign up with your email through Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity on your account. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, email us at hello@stratum.boston.

What you can and can't do

Use Stratum for architectural work on real property. Don't use it to attack, scrape, or overload the service, don't try to access other users' data, and don't upload content you don't have the right to upload. We may suspend an account that violates these terms or that endangers the service or other users.

Your content

The project data you create — canvases, sketches, parcels you have imported, PDFs and images you upload — stays yours. By using the service you give Stratum permission to store, process, and display that data as needed to run the service for you.

Fees

Stratum is free during early access. There is no checkout today; paid plans are activated manually after you email hello@stratum.boston. We will update these terms before adding any automated billing.

Early access

The service is provided as-is during early access. Features change, bugs exist, and we may change or remove features without notice. We may suspend or disable accounts for operational reasons; if we do, we will tell you why where we can.

Deleting your account

Email hello@stratum.boston from the address on your account and we will delete the account and the project data associated with it.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stratum is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA. Any dispute will be heard in a state or federal court located in Massachusetts.

Changes

If these terms change we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, email account holders.
